Behind the image: "Keyhole Rock at Pfeiffer State Beach in south Big Sur is a marvel of nature. Standing starkly on its own, the rock has been carved by waves, time, and forces of nature to create a key hole which allows the light of sunset through in unique and beautiful ways. This time-lapse image, taken at last light on a rough and windy day, smooths the waves over moments as I looked out upon what a millennia of waves had created over time."
